Congo TV Network is a streaming channel highlighting Black Culture and Major Black Events in America. The company is owned by Eagle View Media (founded by The Wright Brothers in 2017) and the company operates out of New Orleans, LA and Orlando, FL.
Congo thrives as the premiere network of positive Black entertainment with a passionate commitment to raise the culture. In fact, that’s the company’s slogan… Raise The Culture.
Congo’s production company (Eagle View Media Company) has filmed many Reality TV Shows, Films, and Documentaries. In 2017, the company broke ground in New York City being picked up by Amazon Fire, Roku, Google, and Apple TV. Investors poured in for the potential of creating the next great Black Entertainment medium.
In 2019, the company decided to disengage from the OTT platform which requires viewers to pay a monthly fee to view the content. Company Executives saw the analytic report from 2018 which showed 75-80% of the Congo audience came from social media platforms. The Investor Board unanimously voted to switch to youtube and Facebook as points of viewer access instead of the subscription base OTT platform. Immediately, the views and numbers increased.
Production for new shows have already begun and the company seems to be on track for it’s biggest year yet.
